1. Accepted payment methods
Amore Liquors accepts the following payment methods at checkout:
- Credit & debit cards: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover
- Mobile wallets: Apple Pay, Google Pay
- Other: PayPal (where eligible by issuer)
- In-store only: Cash, contactless tap, all of the above
We do not accept gift cards from other retailers, personal checks, money orders, cryptocurrency, or store credit toward online orders unless explicitly issued by Amore Liquors.
2. When you are charged
Your payment method is charged in full at the time you place the order. We do not split charges or invoice after delivery. If your card declines, the order is not created and no goods are reserved.
3. Pre-authorisation holds
Some issuers place a temporary pre-authorisation hold on your account when an order is initiated. If the order does not complete (declined card, address validation failure, age-gate failure), the hold typically clears within 1 – 7 business days. Amore Liquors does not control the timing of pre-auth releases — contact your bank for specifics.
4. Currency
All prices, fees, and totals are quoted and charged in United States Dollars (USD). If your bank converts to another currency, the rate and conversion fee are set by your bank — not by Amore Liquors.
5. Sales tax & excise
Florida sales tax and applicable alcoholic-beverage excise taxes are calculated automatically at checkout based on the delivery ZIP code. Taxes are itemised separately on your order confirmation.
- Florida state sales tax: 6.0% (plus county discretionary surtax where applicable — typically 0.5%–1.5%).
- Florida excise tax on distilled spirits, wine, and beer is included in retail pricing as required by Florida statute.
6. Billing address & verification
Your billing address must exactly match the address on file with your card issuer. We use Address Verification Service (AVS) and CVV verification on every transaction. Mismatched billing addresses are a leading cause of declines — please double-check your entry before submitting.
7. Payment security & PCI compliance
All payment processing happens over TLS 1.2+ encryption via PCI DSS Level 1 certified payment gateways (Stripe, Square, or Authorize.Net depending on method). Amore Liquors never sees, stores, or transmits your full card number — payment data is tokenised before it reaches our servers.
For your protection we may use additional fraud-prevention tools: 3-D Secure (Verified by Visa, Mastercard Identity Check, American Express SafeKey), device fingerprinting, and order-velocity checks. Suspicious orders may be held for manual review before fulfilment.
8. Saved payment methods
If you opt to save a card to your customer account, only a tokenised reference is stored with our payment processor — never the actual card number or CVV. You can remove a saved method anytime from My Account → Payment Methods.
9. Failed or declined payments
If your payment is declined:
- The order is not created and no inventory is reserved.
- You will be returned to checkout with a generic error message — we do not display the specific issuer decline reason for security reasons.
- Common reasons: insufficient funds, expired card, AVS/CVV mismatch, issuer-flagged transaction. Contact your bank if the decline persists.
10. Pricing changes
Prices on amoreliquors.com may change without notice. The price you pay is the price displayed at the moment your order is submitted. If a clear pricing error is identified after order placement (e.g. a $200 bottle listed at $2), we reserve the right to cancel and refund the order before fulfilment.
11. Promotional codes & gift cards
- Only one promotional code per order, unless explicitly stated.
- Codes have no cash value and cannot be combined with other promotions.
- Amore Liquors gift cards can be applied at checkout. Unused balances remain on the card and never expire.
- If you return an item paid for partially with a gift card, that portion is refunded to gift-card balance first.
12. Receipts & invoices
An itemised receipt is emailed automatically when your order is placed and a second confirmation when the order ships. You can access all past receipts at My Account → Orders. For business invoices with VAT/EIN details, email info@amoreliquors.com with your order number.
13. Chargebacks & disputes
If you believe a charge is in error, please contact us first at info@amoreliquors.com or (813) 888-9849. We will resolve legitimate billing issues quickly — typically same business day.
Initiating a chargeback without first contacting us may delay resolution. Fraudulent chargebacks (claiming non-receipt for delivered orders signed for by an adult, etc.) are referred to our card processor’s dispute team with full delivery evidence (signature, photo, GPS log).
14. Refunds
See the Returns & Refunds Policy for detailed terms. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method only — typically within 7 – 15 business days after we authorise the refund.
15. Cancellation
You may cancel any order before it has been picked up by the carrier (or our local delivery driver) for a full refund. Email info@amoreliquors.com with your order number as soon as possible. Once dispatched, the order moves to the standard returns workflow.
